Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026

Alces (“Alces,” “we,” “us”) provides done-for-you digital marketing services for local service businesses through alces.app and app.alces.app (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you request an audit or contact us through our website, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, business name, phone number, email address, industry, and city. When you become a client, we also collect account and business profile information needed to deliver the Services.

Information processed on behalf of our clients. Our platform responds to and manages communications between our business clients and their customers and leads. In providing this, we process the contents of those communications, including:

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to operate the site.

How we use information

SMS / text messaging

If you communicate with a business that uses Alces by text message, message frequency varies based on the conversation. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. Once you opt out, you will not receive further messages from that business through our platform.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Call recording

Calls answered by an AI voice assistant may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and service delivery. Where required by law, callers are notified of recording at the start of the call.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the platform, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected information).

Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal obligations. Stored credentials and sensitive configuration are encrypted at rest, and all traffic to our services is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Your choices and rights

Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
